It's a real shame that The Irrepressibles aren't as well known as they deserve to be but the word's spreading now. I can't wait to hear what they do next...

PS: Boris - I'll suggest a visit to Portugal next time I speak to Jamie! The Baronnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33479291.post-42018013845708410402011-03-28T18:54:22.743+01:002011-03-28T18:54:22.743+01:00This was a really wonderful show.

I particularly liked "Buy my gun" (or some such!) There was a definite Kate Bush vibe to it I thought.

The Irrepressibles were just as fab as I was hoping. Jamie's performance bought me in mind at times of the late, great and much-missed Billy MacKenzie. I can't believe I hadn't come across this band before. We've been playing the album non-stop since.

Thanks so much for the tip!Sailor Annienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33479291.post-2891611839795052452011-03-27T22:55:35.199+01:002011-03-27T22:55:35.199+01:00Whish they came to Portugal.Whish they came to Portugal.BorisVianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13991642132976238500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33479291.post-41569197192288594042011-03-25T09:12:08.791+00:002011-03-25T09:12:08.791+00:00Cheers Richard! The whole evening was summed up at the end by the opening note of 'In this shirt' played on the Town hall organ. Incredibly moving and fitting.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02037953442793444948noreply@blogger.com
